Day 01

Arrival at the Windhoek International Airport and transfer to city center, your accommodation.
A city tour with a visit of town ship in the afternoon.
Overnight at Heinitzburg Hotel with bed and breakfast.

HOTEL HEINITZBURG
Commissioned by Count von Schwerin for his fiancé, Margarethe von Heinitz in 1914, Hotel Heinitzburg is now an elegant and enchanting castle hotel overlooking Windhoek. Completed in 1996 in the style of the old castle, the hotel has ten spacious, generously appointed en suite rooms, all equipped with air conditioning/heating units, minibars, televisions and music facilities. What makes Heinitzburg special is the elegant design, from four-poster beds and Italian ceramic tiles to custom fitting and specially created handmade wooden furnishings. The Raith family has long been associated with a tradition of excellent hospitality and cuisine and their restaurant Leo's at the Castle, which overlooks the skyline of Windhoek, serves a varied cuisine ranging from international to French a la carte. Guests can also enjoy sundowners on the Garden terrace or have meals, if the weather is nice. A collection of carefully selected South African vintage wines are located in their wine cellar, built into the mountain rock. Hotel Heinitzburg is a proud member of the Relais & Châteaux Southern African and Indian Ocean delegation. Centrally located, Hotel Heinitzburg is a two-minute drive from the city centre.

Day 02
Transfer to the city airport Eros and flight to Namib Desert, to Sosussvlei Wilderness Camp.
A nature drive in the desert with sun downer in the afternoon.
Overnight at Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp, which is situated 40 kilometres from Sesriem, the Namib Naukluft Park's entrance to the famous Sossusvlei dunes. The camp's location provides access to Sossusvlei yet also offers privacy and exclusivity.

The camp, which has been built below a mountain top using rock, brick, timber and thatch, provides a comfortable refuge from the desert. Accommodation comprises of 9 guest rooms, each with its own private plunge pool. The bedrooms are well appointed and offer comfort and atmosphere with wonderful views onto the desert plains below. The en-suite bathrooms have panoramic view with both hot and cold running water, showers and flush toilets. The main living area is under thatch.

Activities centre round early morning excursions in 4x4 vehicles to the magnificent Sossusvlei dunes and the "vlei" itself. Wonderful desert breakfasts are served under camel-thorn acacias surrounded by the dunes. Huge towering dunes rise dramatically, more than 1000 feet above the surrounding plains at Sossusvlei itself. Afternoon activities are enjoyed on the property where guests can spend time taking in the desert scenery and its unique fauna and flora.
Incredible ballooning safaris over the Namib are optional and at additional cost.

Day 03
An early wake up to get to the highest dunes of Sossusvlei at sunrise.
Pick-nick breakfast under the old camel-thorn trees after climbing the dunes.

Day 04
Flight from The Namib Desert to Atlantic Coast, to Swakopmund and transfer to your hotel, Swakopmund Hotel.

Day 05
Transfer from your hotel to Walvis Bay for your Dolphin Cruise with Catamaran, which departs from the Walvis Bay Yacht Club into the beautiful Bay Area holding more beauty than the eye can see - A Shipwreck, Lighthouse, Oyster Platforms, different Bird species, Seals and more Marine Life.
In the Oyster Platforms there is the tasting of the delicacies, in the ever-growing Pelican Point a closer look at our Lighthouse. The old supply railway spoors can still be seen from the years when the Lighthouse was still occupied by the Coast Guards.
Moving around the Point, 3 different types of Dolphins may be encountered: the Heavyside Dolphins - which are the most important, as they are endemic to the coast of Namibia, Dusky Dolphins and Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins...
In Season, the larger mammals like the Southern Right Whale and the Humpback Whales may be spotted and with a bit of extra special luck, the mighty Killer Whales (Orcas).
Rare sightings of the Sunfish and the Leatherback Turtles also keep our guest on the look out!
All this can be seen while comfortably relaxing in the Saloon, trampolines or on deck, whilst enjoying a glass of champagne, oysters and snacks.
Return to Swakopmund

Day 06
Flight from Swakopmund to Damaraland and to Doro Nawas Lodge.
In the afternoon a nature drive looking for desert elephants and later on a sun downer.

DORO NAWAS is the joint Venture with local communities.
Explore the rugged beauty and magnificent landscape of Damaraland from our new hilltop lodge. The sixteen guest units are built from locally sourced and natural stone and canvas under thatch roofs, ensuring luxury and comfort seamlessly blending with the spectacular surroundings.

The main area includes the office, dining room, lounge, kitchen and bar with an adjacent pool. The lodge provides an exclusive base for exploring the local area in game drive vehicles and on foot. You can visit the historical rock engraving at Twyfelfontein only 15 km away or simply observe the desert adapted elephants moving down the dry riverbed - often right from camp. Enjoy wholesome meals in the dining room and in the lovely evenings absorb the dazzling African skies from your roof top terrace before settling down for the night in the safe and relaxing rooms. An added feature is the presence of a powerful telescope, set up on the rooftop deck - the local guides explain some of the wonders of the southern skies to interested guests.

Visit the Bushman cravings in Twyfelfontein.
Lunch at the lodge.
Overnight at Doro Nawas.

Day 08
Flight from Damarland to Ongava Lodge, next to Etosha National Park. Game drive in Ongava Game Reserve in the afternoon.

ONGAVA LODGE
From its beautiful vantage point overlooking a well-frequented watering point and the plains beyond, the well established Ongava Game Lodge is situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava is the ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. The 12 air-conditioned rock and thatch chalets each have en-suite bathroom facilities. Meals are served in the main dining area under thatch with a view over the camp's water hole and the lodge also has a shady swimming pool. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where animals such as Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Gemsbok, Springbok, and Hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition guests can enjoy the hides and guided walks with armed guides on the private reserve. Ongava has resident White and Black Rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species

The day to explore the famous Etosha National Park.

Day 10
Flight back to Windhoek for your return flight.
