Climate
Chile’s climate is as varied as its terrain. Chile is a long country with different regions and each of them has a particular climate. Much of the country has a mountain climate with snow in the higher reaches. The interior and in areas of altitude, the temperature changes considerably in daytime and night. Summer begins in December and ends in mid-March, with high temperatures, warm weather and no rainfall. The average temperature in Chile is + 15°C. The highest monthly average high temperature is + 30°C in January. Winter arrives in May and continues till September bringing cold weather with temperatures between below zero and - 15 °C.
