Climate
Tropical climate is dominant in Brazil, humidity in Amazon, dry heat in Northeast and permanently pleasant warm weather of coastal areas. In plateaus evenings are cool and in the south region winter can be severe. The seasons are opposite of those in Europe. Spring is from September to December, summer untill March, autumn from March to June and winter occurs between June and September.
The average annual temperature is approximately 28ºC in the northern region and 20ºC in the south, where some cities experience negative temperatures, with frost and snow in the winter. In Rio de Janeiro the temperature may hit + 40ºC in the peak of summer.
